Be aware of any "rubbing" that might cause the DHA bronzer to rub off before enough time to absorb has passed (i.e. hanging a purse on forearm or shoulder). When you wash your hands, make sure the water only contacts the palms of your hands and rub them gently together, patting them dry. Do not "wipe" mouth with a napkin, you could cause a white ring around your lips. Shaving will also cause fading-the more often you shave, the more often the skin is exfoliated. Face cleansers have exfoliating beads or drying agents to remove dry skin cells and can cause fading. Ocean water, beach sand and pool water may make the color fade faster and uneven. Dial soap, liquid soaps with exfoliating beads, loofa sponges, pumice stones, wash cloths and anything else that might cause the skin to exfoliated will fade the tan before its time. Remember---pat-pat dry & moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!!! Your color may not fade evenly, but you can use a loofa or washcloth to fade the edges by GENTLY rubbing the more distinct lines. You may apply a tinted lotion if you choose to help keep the color as supple as possible during the fading process but be aware not all tinting is the same shade or hue. We may have a tinted lotion with light DHA available for purchase in the salon as well as products for touch ups. Please don't hesitate to call with any further questions you might have. We are happy to serve you! ***Please remember that having the DHA bronzer on your skin does NOT protect you from sunburn. You still need to use sunscreen liberally as recommended, reapplying every 25 to 30 minutes and 'listen' to your skin, if it seems like it is too much sun, it usually is!
